Saturday

Monday comes, Monday comes
In the day I'm quiet in my own way
Night comes, night finds me
I come alive inside my skin
When everything seems complicated
And anything can be confusing
I somehow find a calm inside the night
Something that gives me a reason to fight

Thursday comes, Thursday comes
Beating on my door, pounding the floor
Holding on to hope in the strangest ways
Cause life ain't fair on the day to day
Night comes, night coaxes me
Its tempting flair of adventure pulling at me
The thrill of it, but I wait for it
Waiting, biding my time as I sleep through the night

Saturday comes, Saturday comes
The sun seems brighter and the day somehow longer
Pack all I can into this day of adventure
Rest comes later; for now I feast on adrenaline
Night comes, night is no different
Darker, more mysterious than the day
Living away from my concerns and what holds me down

Sunday comes, Sunday comes
As bright as Saturday, but the excitement is gone
Now do I rest, now do I reflect
On anything my mind wants to wander to
Night never comes on Sunday
There is but one face to this day
Sunday is the day of rest
The time for bliss, peace and forgiveness
